Baylor hosts 2022 Southwest Local Algebra Meeting (SLAM)

Our Baylor Department of Mathematics hosted the 2022 Southwest Local Algebra Meeting on February 26 and February 27. About 60 participants traveled to Waco to hear leaders in the field of Algebra on their recent research. The speakers were Mirela Çiperiani (UT Austin), Charles Conley (UNT), Ken Goodearl (UC Santa Barbara), Amy Huang (Texas A&M), Jonathan Montaño (NMSU), and our own Manfred Dugas (Baylor). In addition, graduate students from the Southwest region presented their work during poster sessions of the conference.
